Clover Park School District
schoolClover Park School District (CPSD) was established in 1928 and recently celebrated its 80th anniversary. The district has more than 1,500 employees and 11,700 students from preschool to grade 12. CPSD is the 26th largest public school district in Washington state and the fourth largest of 15 in Pierce County. The district is located immediately south of Tacoma and encompasses 26 square miles in the western end of the county, serving the Camp Murray, Lakewood and Joint Base Lewis-McChord communities.

CPSD has 17 elementary schools, five of which are located on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. There are four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, an alternative high school and a small, college preparatory school for sixth- through 12th-graders.

There is a strong military influence in Clover Park schools. Twenty-nine percent of students live on a military base and 40 percent are considered federally connected students.
