Lakewold Summer Nights

The Business Examiner's "40 Under Forty"

5:30-8:30pm.  Business, government and non-profit leaders under the age of forty are recognized  in this annual event and publication.  Nomination information coupled with questionnaire data are assessed by an advisory panel of 40 Under Forty alumni to select a balanced class, representative of the South Puget Sound.  Those recognized are outstanding in their field, industry or business and are exceptional in their commitment to their community. Dog-A-Thon: The Humane Society's Walk For Homeless Pets

White River50 Mile Endurance Run

CrystalMountain

Set in the shadow of Mt.Rainier, this race offers spectacular views. Like "The Mountain" itself, though, the race stands as an ultimate test of mental character and physical endurance. Over the 50-mile distance the race course rises and falls a staggering 8,700 feet (total elevation change: 17,400 feet). The race features rolling terrain, ridge tops, northwest forest, several sections of technical trails, and of course several demanding climbs and challenging descents.
