Construction Career Day

Construction Career Day is offered annually to high school youth in order to broaden students' knowledge about the construction industry and its multifaceted opportunities in the building, heavy equipment, highway design and engineering areas.  The goal of this event is to expose 1,000 high school students to the diversified construction careers while showcasing the rewards of being part of the construction industry.  This event will provide young people with a hands-on learning experience and highlight the multi-faceted world of building and construction.

Arts of the Fur Trade at Fort Nisqually

PDZA Play Day

Point Defiance Zoo, 5400 N Pearl, Tacoma

10am-3pm.  Come watch a gibbon play with a mop head or a tiger take a swing at a fire hose cube. This event is all about how Zoo animals play. It's called enrichment. Visitors will get to make enrichment treats for the animals and treats for themselves to take home and watch demonstrations of how zookeepers provide enrichment treats for animals. Turkey Trot Walk/Run

15th Annual Fantasy Lights at Spanaway Park
