Led by Ikebana instructor, Patricia Smith, this class will provide participants with a brief overview of the history and techniques of Ikebana. National Trail Day  "Sequalitchew Creek Trail"

9am.  Walk the historic Sequalitchew Creek Trail down to Puget Sound.  For thousands of years, this creek has provided food for the Nisqually Indians and Hudson Bay Company established FortNisquallysouth of the creek.  The DuPont Company Dynamite Train used this route to transport finished explosives to the wharf and today The Home Course sits on the land adjacent to the Creek.  You’ll receive a unique bottle of water, trail mix, and keepsake.  Cost $5/person.

Rainier to Ruston

Starting in the CarbonRiverrainforest.  End at the north end of MarineParkon the Tacomawaterfront.

50 mile running relay, 27 mile walking relay, 50k/50m ultras.  The Rainierto RustonRail-Trail Relay and Ultra challenges teams of runners, walkers, and ultras to travel the course under their own power, from the base of Mount Rainierto the sea. The event calls attention to the Foothills Trail, a rail-trail project that tracks the course of the old Northern Pacific Railroad.

Lakewold Gardens "Rainier League of Arts presents 'A Walk in the Gardens'"

Sound to Narrows 12K Run
